About Me

My name is Alana Boyce, and I am a student-athlete at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, double-majoring in Advertising/Public Relations and Political Science. As someone who competes, learns, and grows inside the world of collegiate athletics every day, I am deeply passionate about the intersection of college sports, mental health, and the environments we create for the athletes who represent our schools. I believe the culture surrounding student-athletes matters, not just in how we perform. Through my experience, I want to help push programs and institutions toward more supportive cultures and environments. Whether I am studying, analyzing, or living the day-to-day realities of a college athlete, my purpose is to amplify student-athlete voices and advocate for us, so that we can thrive.

“Playing tennis for UNC has taught me how to have discipline, teamwork, and a deep respect for those around me.” -Alana Boyce

This past year and a half at this institution has taught me so many valuable lessons. I have become a much more confident person, on and off the court. I know that if every single person were able to experience the culture and passion that our team has, they would walk out a more defined and brave human.
